Data Security
One of Echodify's primary concerns is the data security of our members. We have implemented industry-standard and industry-leading methods to help provide the highest level of data security we can provide. Among these are:
- Multi-Factor Authentication:
Account logins require multi-factor authentication whereby our members enter codes that arrive via SMS text messages on their smartphones. Multi-factor authentication is also required when changing critical information such as your password and your phone number. - Enhanced Login Features:
When creating an account, you are required to create three numeric codes. For simplicity we suggest your parents' birth years and a PIN number. These extra numbers are used to unlock your account if your account locks due to suspicious activity. - Session Management:
Accounts automatically log-out if left logged-in after 24-hours, and accounts log-out if you log-into the same account on a different device. Also, your account will lock after eight unsuccessful log-in attempts. -
Double Encryption (

Member content in echoes, shouts, and virtual legacies are encrypted once using industry-standard AES256 encryption -- both for information kept in our databases and for all file uploads. But to provide the best security we can, we go above and beyond industry standard.
Before any file upload is saved in encrypted data storage, it is encrypted separately and independently thereby providing double encryption. This provides two separate and independent layers of encryption making it an entire level of difficulty harder to steal our members data than single layer industry standard encryption. - Other Secret Methods:
We employ other creative methods to create the most secure data storage platform we can provide, but for security reasons we don't publicize all that we do.
